Day 13: Begin with praise

As I have been working my way through the Psalms, I have noticed-rather, the Lord has brought to my attention-how many of the songs begin.

Today as I was praying for the Lord to guide me in what to share, I felt Him impress on my spirit to begin with praise.

Yes, we may have a million different things going on in our lives and God very much wants to be a part of those. But let us not get so consumed in our own thoughts and circumstances that we forget who God is.

Today my heart is to share the beginning verse of each chapter of Psalm starting with 100 and ending with Psalm 130. 30 verses of praise to start each day of the month in praise!

The enemy can’t stand it when we enter into God’s throne room with worship and thanksgiving. Let’s shake the earth with praise for the King and enter into each new day with the mindset of worship.

I pray that this touches your spirit like it has mine and puts things back into perspective. No matter what circumstance we may find ourselves in, God is worthy of our praise.

Let’s begin our Wednesday morning worshiping the Lord of Lords for who He is! Not just what He has done, but truly getting to the heart of our Savior.

100: Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth!

101: I will sing of the lovingkindness and justice, to You, O Lord, I will sing praises.

102: Hear my prayer, O Lord! And let my cry of help come to You.

103:Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

104: Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty.

105: Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples.

106: Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

107: Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

108: My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul.

109: O God of my praise, Do not be silent!

110: The Lord says to my Lord; “Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

111: Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart, In the company of the upright and in the assembly.

112: Praise the Lord! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.

113: Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord!

114:1-2: When Israel went forth from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, Israel His dominion.

This particular verse touches me as it shows God as a Deliverer to His people, but also because it reminds me that God inhabits the praises of His people. “Judah” is a name that means ‘praise’. We enter into God’s presence when we offer up a sacrifice of worship and praise!

115: Not to us, O Lord, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.

116: I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my supplications.

117: Praise the Lord, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples!

118:Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

119: How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the Lord.

120: In my trouble I cried to the Lord, And He answered me.

121: I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come?

122: I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

123:To You I lift up my eyes. O You who are enthroned in the heavens!

124: “Had it not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say,

125: Those who trust in the Lord Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.

126: When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream.

127: Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in  vain.

128: How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

129:1-2: “Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up,” Let Israel now say, “Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.”

130: Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.
